The Repository of the Arton foundation The Repository of the Arton foundation is available on the website www.repozytorium.fundacjaarton.pl and is the digital archive that consists of the work of famous polish artists such as: Oskar Hansen, Jan Świdziński, Jolanta Marcolla, Romuald i Anna Kutera, Paweł Kwiek, Ryszard Waśko, Andrzej Jórczak, Józef Robakowski, Tomasz Konart, Henryk Gajewski, Krzysztof Wojciechowski and Zdzisław Jurkiewicz that were active in the 60’s and 70’s. The digital installations were an important fragment of Polish art history that is undiscovered by the Polish audience however international cultural institutions were interested in it. The Arton archive includes photographic scans, negatives, documents (typed scripts, catalogues, projects, drafts) and films that are transferred from 16 mm film to video format. The digitized data belongs to private owners, artists or their families and are a unique source of knowledge for researchers and historians in Poland and abroad. The Arton Foundation deals with archives and not only the art work , but also notes documenting the artists work in progress which share knowledge and help to understand the context of the art work. |
